A. We have no idea how long, because there is no finish line defined. We have no definition of what "complete" or "win" would mean, so we cannot measure progress towards it. By any reasonable estimate, if we "stay the course" until Iraq is completely stable, we'll be there for between 15 and 30 years. And as for "next" -- politicians won't wait until that's done, and we'll just keep over-extending our troops until they collapse.
