From Google News Search: "Luke the Evangelist" Did Matthew's chronology of time/event differs from what was written in the book of Luke/Mark? Q. I am clearly referring with the chronology of time and event from the book of Matthew. If you are to compare the narrative of Mark and Luke with his testimony, would you be saying that they enrich each others writing, or totally contradicting the testified chronology of Matthew? Consiquently, the best answer that you have given to me says nothing about chronology of time and event. The reason I asked this question is to enrich the authenticity of evangelist Mark and Luke. I am totally convinced that the two belongs to the eyewitness period, but I stand with the fact that both of them witnessed nothing, for they are absolutely not an eyewitness to Jesus. (Luke 1:2-3) Asked by OmarMuktar - Fri Aug 14 01:43:29 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. According to Amy-Jill Levine, in Matthew (and the two other synoptic Gospels), Jesus talks more about the Kingdom of God than about himself, unlike John in which Jesus identifies himself as the true vine; the bread of life; the way, the truth and the life. Another difference is that while in Matthew and the two other synoptic gospels, Jesus teaches primarily using short parables or short sayings, in John he teaches using extended speeches. Levine states that each of the three synoptic gospels offer a distinct portraits of Jesus. For example, "Matthew has Jesus' earthly mission restricted to the 'lost sheep of the house of Israel' (Matt 15:24, see also 10:5-6) and emphasizing obedience to and preservation of biblical law. A Gospel is a message concerning Christ, the kingdom of God, and salvation. There are four Gospels, Mark, Matthew, Luke, and John. These four men were all evangelist, people who traveled to preach the word of God. "How" of the Evangelist? (Mark) Purpose of the Evangelist? (Mark) specifically MARK!!! the purpose of HIS gospel? >_< Asked by KYO - Thu Mar 27 18:45:33 2008 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. The 4 gospels were written with different audience or different information in mind. Matthew (a tax collector) and Luke (the physician) both wrote heavily to those who were Jewish and so concentrated on Jesus' geneologies and other things. Mark wrote to Gentile converts to explain things to them. John was Jesus' best friend and he was told more about Jesus' prehuman life in heaven and the difference between Jesus and his Father. So he wrote such things as that humans had not seen God, John 1:18, 6:46, 1 John 4:12. I'll go look up a bit more on Mark and get back to you to help with your report tomorrow morning, OK? Email me if I don't get to you soon. Hugs, Debbie debbiepittman@yahoo.com Answered by debbiepittman - Thu Mar 27 19:03:27 2008 Has UN become a Robot of Bush-the Evangelist?

Do you really believe that Bush was responsible for the 9/11 attacks? Do you really believe that the war in Iraq was because of a stupid threat to his dad? My gosh. It is unbelievable what some of you people believe. These extremists in the Middle East have been gunning for the U.S. and other free nations for some time now. It's about time we actually do something about it. Patrick Henry said, give me freedom or give me death. I, for one, have no desire to lose my freedoms.
