The term is often used in reference to Christianity, where the scriptures often describe "evangelism" as "spreading the Gospel". Christians who specialise in evangelism are known as evangelists whether they are in their home communities or acting as missionaries in the field. Some Christian traditions consider evangelists to be in a leadership position; they may be found preaching to large meetings or in governance roles. Christian groups who actively encourage evangelism are sometimes known as evangelistic or evangelist. I am an Indian and do not have much to the credit of my country to boast of unlike citizens of other countries. But if Fortune magazine publishes a list as I requested above India will have the highest score although money is deposited in fraud trusts and Swiss banks. I have apprehensions about guys who hang about on street corners hollering and hurling derogatory remarks at people they don't know and have never met. It is not a badge of honor to be hated by people you call filthy, rotten, and dirty; it is the expected reaction for your brash rudeness. These people also carry about a false air of superiority over every other Christian who isn't "evangelizing" the way they are. They are part of the "everybody's going to hell but me" factions of Christianity. I do not care for their methods of evangelism and I don't see this sort of demeaning attitude towards non-believers or the unsaved displayed at all by Christ in the gospels.
